3 hour meeting on next year's budget tonight. The only thing that stopped me from tearing out of the parking lot while blasting something with a lot of screaming was the opportunity to leave while talking/venting to like minded(
read: equally cynical)fellow members/friends. Can make all the difference, but i still anticipate a long and bumpy road to convention in October.
In the same vein as
Vix's post, i too am soon to upgrade my
current phone. It's served well, yes, but...
Well, but the scroll wheel's acting massively screwy and nonresponsive...But i'm tired of the keyboard. But i've noticed a recurrent issue of incoming calls never ringing, but suddenly having voicemail. Granted, this may be the carrier...Well, that's the MAIN but. Once i looked into other carriers, i found i can
save about 20-25% a month by switching to AT&T.
Ok, i first looked at AT&T to examine the possibility of moving to the iphone. I admit it. After looking, however, i think i've ruled it out. No...Now i'm looking at the
blackberry curve and the
at&t tilt. There are other models i liked...but i'm just too attached to having email to go now. I know i'm probably more used to/familiar with the blackberry, but the tilt does have that nice keyboard, plus IE and office and all that good stuff. Plus, the tilt has wifi and 3G support...i mean, assuming 3g network coverage ever extends to augusta.
Anyway, i'm still undecided. knowing me, i'll probably end up with something completely other. Either way, however, i'm kicking us cellular to the curb soon as i can afford to spring for the new handset, probably some time next month.
Any recommendations?
Ugh. I need to get to bed. I'm glad there's only 2 days left this week. Of work, i mean. Board meeting all day friday, but that never feels like work. We're discussing healthcare reform again, more specifically the glaring fact that our local has not taken a formal position on it. We had a short presentation on
HR 676 in march and i proposed we officially make a motion of support, but got shot down..Lots of people saying they didn't have enough information. Well believe me...they'll not be able to say that THIS time. I've got about a ream of paper ready to distribute this time, and am not
even about to let it go without a hell of an argument...Fun times, man.
